Rain KO’s Mt Lawn again

A heavy downpour just before the feature events were to get underway caused the cancellation of the races at Mt Lawn for the fourth time this year.

William Mefford of Knightstown picked up the Razzles Dash for Cash win. Brandon Mefford of Knightstown and Johnny Fugate of Cambridge City won the heats in the Motion Motors Late Model division. Jeff Marcum of Morristown set fast time at 16.594.

Kevin Claborn of Cambridge City took the Thompson Builders Dash for Cash and the first heat while Andrew Walker of Sulphur Springs won for the first time in his career by taking the second heat in the Thunder Car division. Neil Marcum of Morristown set fast time and a new track record at 17.842.

Joyce Dyer of Greenfield won the MC Auto Repair Dash for Cash with the Hornet heats belonging to Levi McMahon of Atlanta, Brian Slavey of New Castle and Doug Sorrell of New Castle. Brad McMahon set fast time at 19.971.

New Castle Henry County Chamber of Commerce night is next up for Mt Lawn with UMRA Midgets joining the Motion Motors Late Models, Thompson Builders Thunder Cars and the MC Auto Repair Hornets.
