Marcum’s win again at Mt Lawn

Jeff and Neil Marcum, both of Morristown, continued their mastery over the Late Model and Thompson Builders Thunder Car division by winner feature events at Mt Lawn Saturday night.

Scott Knepley of Greensboro led the first 13 laps of the Late Model feature until Marcum took the lead for good on lap 14. Knepley held off Eric Evans of Greenfield for second with Evans taking third followed by Joe Woodring of Muncie, Ralph Lane of Greensburg, Brock Anderson of Albany, Bill Pirece of New Castle and Ross Lane of Greensburg. Knepley won the Razzles Dash for Cash and the heat while Marcum set fast time in qualifications.

The Thompson Builders Thunder Cars finished with Neil Marcum taking the win over Andrew Walker of Sulphur Springs, Kyle Evans of Shirley and Paul Starks of Fortville. Marcum set fast time and won the Thompson Builders Dash for Cash and the heat.

In MC Auto Repair action Ryan Amonett of New Castle took a a break from his Late Model duties to win the feature event. Second place went to Morris of New Castle followed by Doug Sorrell of New Castle, Ryan Claborn of Cambridge City, Jeff Sorrell of Mooreland, Brian Lewis of Indianapolis, Chase Lane of Knightstown, Brian Reynolds of Mooreland, Joyce Dyer of Greenfield and Freddie Marlow of New Castle. Lewis set fast time and won the MC Auto Dash for Cash while Brian Slavey of New Castle, Amonett and Emily Henderson of New Castle won the heats

Next week the Late Models take a week off and will be replaced by the CRA Street Stocks.
