Marcum narrows Late Model point lead
Jeff Marcum of Morristown won the Mt Lawn Late Model feature
Saturday night at the Mt Lawn Speedway thereby closing the gap in the season
point race to just 10 points over Eric Evans of Greenfield with the final race
coming up Sept 25th..
Ralph Lane
of Greensburg
led the first three laps of the feature giving way to Evans on lap 4. Marcum got around Evans and Lane on lap 5 and
led the 5 laps. On the lap 10 double
file restart Scott Knepley of Greensboro
got the jump on Marcum to take the lead.
Knepley led the next 5 laps until the yellow came out again on lap
16. On the lap 16 restart Marcum got the
jump on Knepley and led the rest of the way for his ninth win in 2010. Knepley finished second followed by Evans,
Lane, Neil Marcum of Morristown, Brock Anderson of Albany, Bill Pierce of New

second followed by David Clark of Muncie, Chris

qualifications at 17.956 with Warner winning the Thompson Builders Dash for
Cash.
