Opening night at Mt Lawn postponed

Opening night for the 2020 season at Mt Lawn Speedway has been postponed due to Covid19 restriction set down by our Governor.

The first race of 2020 is now scheduled for Sunday June 14^th. The June 14 program will consist of a morning session starting at 9:00 am to 11:00 am will consist of Legends, Thunder Roadsters and Go-Karts. Evening racing will start at 6:00 pm and will feature CRA Street Stocks, Clayborn Motors LLC Modifieds, Van Hoy Oil Thunder Cars, Owens Electric Stock Compacts, State Farm Insurance Street Drags and Pro Compacts running in the William Mefford 46.

With Covid19 restrictions in the Governors phase 4 part of his 5 phase plan for reopening the Indiana economy Mt Lawn will have guidelines in place for fans and workers safety. Those guidelines will be announced as we get closer to race day.

2020 racing promoter Dave Duncan of Cicero wants to assure all fans that we will get at least the five races in and possibly more during the 2020 season. The original ’20 schedule calls for the final event to be held on August 2 so there is plenty of time to adjust the schedule accordingly.
