Third time not a charm at Mt Lawn

For the first time in 2024 racing was canceled due to rain. After three separate rain showers disrupted speedway events the races were call shortly after 8:00 because it was apparent the track had cooled enough that efforts to dry again were fruitless. A makeup date for the Aug 17 races has not been set. Rain checks from Aug 17 races may be used for admission to any remaining race on the 2024 schedule.

The next scheduled event at Mt Lawn will be the 30^th annual car show on Labor Day Sept 2^nd. The event gets underway at 9:00 AM with awards at 3:00 PM and is open to the public. Vehicle registration to enter the car show is $10 the day of the show. In addition to the car show there will be Big Wheel races and a money scramble for the kids, Pedal Car races for adults, an obstacle course race with motorized vehicles and a $150 burn out contest. Breakfast and lunch will be available with breakfast starting at 8:30 and Lunch at 11:00.

The next racing event will be Saturday Sept 7 with Modifieds, Crown Vics, Stock Compact and Pro Compacts.
