Racing resumes at Mt Lawn this weekend
Modifieds, Crown Vics, Pro Compacts , Stock Compacts and Legends will make up the racing programs at Mt Lawn Speedway this weekend. There are five races remaining on the schedule for the 2025 season with three in a row on the remaining Saturdays in September. On the 20th Big Wheel racing and a coin scramble for the kids will join a repeat of this week’s program. The annual Founder’s Day event will be held on the 27th that will celebrate the founding of Mt Lawn Speedway back in 1934 by Dr. George W. Sweigart who grew up in New Castle. In October the Season Championships will be held on the 4th with 50 lap features in all four divisions. The season finale will be on October 25th with the 3rd annual Crown Vic Challenge 100 along with the second appearance of the season of MLF’s (Mt Lawn Female) Mini Van race and the Grub Getters Enduro.
The Pit Gate opens 2:00 with practice and Grand Stand gate open at 4:00 followed by qualifications with racing getting underway promptly at 7:00. Ticket prices for this Saturday remain at $10 each with 8 and under FREE.
