Mt Lawn races cancelled

What started out to be a perfect day for racing at Mt Lawn last Saturday quickly turned into a forecasted chance of rain in the afternoon. The clouds started to appear shortly afternoon and by 2:00 the track got its first rain on race day in over a month. Track officials opened the pit gate around 2:30 with hopes that the rain that had started to diminish would quit completely and racing would go on as normal. At least 24 Modifides, 21 Crown Vics and 15 Stock Compacts and 12 Pro Compacts were in the pit area. Soon after 5:00 and three more showers officials decided to pull the plug on the races for this week and move on to next week.

Modifides, Crown Vics, Stock Compacts and Pro Compacts will be on the schedule. Because of scheduling conflicts with other tracks the Legends will not return in the 2025 season. Rain Check from the 13^th races will be honored for admission in the pits and grandstand on the 20^th.

The pit gate will open at 2:00 with grandstand gates and practice opening at 4 followed by qualifications with racing starting at 7:00. Only four more races are on the schedule for 2025. Sept 20, Sept 27, Oct 4 and the finale on Oct 25.
